The benefits of using a blog that I have found are:
It is a lot easier to say some things in writing in a blog than directly in a group. Mainly because, having to write down thoughts creates a much higher degree on concentration and deliberation than simply speaking thoughts directly in a conversation. Also, it gives me a means of communication with the rest of the group anytime even when I cannot be at the college myself because of work.
